The first three years in a child’s life are filled with change, developmental growth spurts, and important milestones.  The first three years in a parent’s life are filled with joy, important transitions, anxiety and loss of sleep.  In both infant and parent, change can be confusing, frustrating as well as wonderful and monumental.  Through Parent Coaching, Sleep Consulting, and Infant Sleep Classes, Sarah offers support to both parent and infant in navigating these changes.

Sarah has been doing sleep classes at our practice for several years, and over that time many parents have told me how helpful she was and how she taught them to establish a good sleep routine for their infant. Sarah’s empathy, kindness and knowledge make her an effective teacher and an invaluable resource for our patients and their parents.
— Nelson Branco, MD Tamalpais Pediatrics

Sarah’s warm demeanor puts anxious new parents at ease and she offers many different developmentally appropriate strategies for dealing with sleep issues. She has been a well prepared professional educator who has shown flexibility to accommodate the needs of new parents.

Sarah helped me as a new mom to recognize my own intuition, feel empowered to make decisions about how to best care for my daughter, and how to take the long view on being a mom versus giving into short-term despair. She is realistic about babies - what they can and can’t do, but will help you to take steps and cope with those realities.
